The catastrophic situation in Palestine/Israel continues to bring untold suffering to those living in the region. The reverberations of this tragedy continue to be felt around the world, leaving many at Lewis & Clark deeply touched, seeking understanding, and called to action. This 1-credit short course invites students to participate in a series of community dialogues, teach-ins, and discussion sections that combine opportunities for sharing, trust building, and collaborative study.

The course will include public teach-ins, community dialogues and faculty lead discussion sections distributed across several locations. The course will be offered on M/W from 4:45 to 6pm. The full class will meet together at least twice so two large rooms will need to be reserved, in addition to 8 separate breakout rooms (small). JRHH is preferred for all rooms

Since this is a one credit cours it will not fulfill a MENA minor requirements. If circumstances warrant, MENA minors may request a course subsitution to have the one credit count towards the minor.
